We Need Your Help

Together we can help survivors reclaim their lives.

Join Us As a Trustee

Becoming a Trustee with us is more than a governance role; it is an opportunity to help shape a compassionate, faith rooted response to domestic abuse. If you have a heart for women in crisis and a desire to see hope, safety and restoration restored in their lives, we would love to hear from you.

What It Means to Be a Trustee

Our Trustees help guide the charity’s direction, ensuring that everything we do reflects our Christian values, protects those we support, and makes a real difference. You don’t need specialist experience just the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to serve.

As a Trustee, you will help:

  • Hold the vision and ensure the charity stays true to its purpose

  • Bring compassion and wisdom to decisions that impact vulnerable women

  • Support and encourage staff and volunteers

  • Strengthen the safety, wellbeing and effectiveness of our services

  • Contribute your skills whether in people support, fundraising, finance, pastoral care,

or simply a willingness to help where needed

The Attitude We Look For

We welcome Trustees who bring:

  • A heart for women affected by domestic abuse and a belief that change is possible

  • Compassion and empathy, grounded in Christian values

  • Integrity, kindness and sound judgement

  • Commitment and reliability, offering your time and attention to the work of the board

  • A collaborative spirit, ready to listen, contribute and support the team

  • A desire to steward the charity well, helping us grow sustainably and safely

No Prior Trustee Experience Needed

What matters most is your character, your commitment to our mission, and your willingness to serve. We will support you with guidance, onboarding and opportunities to learn as you go.

As a paid worker

As our charity continues to grow, we will be recruiting paid staff to help strengthen and develop our work. We will be looking for individuals who share our vision, our Christian values, and our heart for supporting women affected by domestic abuse.

Our paid roles will include positions that support frontline services, administration, leadership, fundraising, and specialist areas of care. Each role will contribute to creating a safe, compassionate, and professionally run organisation where women can find hope, healing, and practical support.

If you feel called to this work and would like to be notified when paid vacancies become available, please keep an eye on this page or get in touch to express your interest.

What it Means to Be a Volunteer

Volunteering with us is an opportunity to be part of life changing work. Our volunteers play a vital role in offering safety, dignity, and hope to women who have experienced domestic abuse. Every act of service, big or small, helps create an environment where women can heal, rebuild, and feel valued.

A Heart to Serve

Being a volunteer isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about bringing kindness, compassion, and a willingness to be present. You become a representative of our Christian values: offering love without judgment, standing alongside the vulnerable, and helping restore hope.

The Difference You Make

As a volunteer, you may help by:

  • Offering practical support in our services or community activities

  • Assisting staff with day to day tasks that help the charity run smoothly

  • Bringing comfort, encouragement, and a listening ear to those who need it

  • Using your skills whether organisational, creative, pastoral, or practical to strengthen our work

  • Playing a part in creating a safe, welcoming environment for women and families

The Attitude We Look For

You don’t need specialist knowledge only the right heart. We value volunteers who are:

  • Compassionate and patient

  • Respectful of confidentiality and boundaries

  • Reliable and willing to work as part of a team

  • Open to learning and being supported

  • Kind, approachable, and understanding of those going through difficult times

  • Motivated by a desire to help others and live out Christian love in action

A Supportive Place to Serve

We provide guidance, training, and encouragement so you can feel confident and supported in your role. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your contribution matters.
